Une position post-doctorale en 2014 est offerte pour étudier le Nachlass d'Elie Cartan .
Ce Nachlass est composé d’une série de cahiers dans lesquels tout au long de sa carrière, E. Cartan a noté des calculs, des brouillons de rédaction d’articles et de cours, ainsi que des remarques concernant les thèses qu’il dirigeait, de plusieurs boites de correspondances et d’une seconde série de cahiers contenant des notes de cours pendant ses études.
Le projet est de produire un inventaire commenté des contenus des cahiers et de la correspondance.
Le ou la post-doc sera rattaché-e aux Archives Poincaré (UMR 7117 du cnrs).
La date-limite pour l'envoi des candidatures est fixée au Mercredi 7 novembre 2013.

A postdoctoral position is available for the year 2014 with the object of studying the papers of Elie Cartan.
These papers consist of several boxes of personal and professional correspondence and two series of notebooks. One of the these latter contains notes in which, throughout his career, E. Cartan wrote down calculations, drafts of his articles and courses, as well as comments on the theses he directed. The second series consists of his student lecture notes of others.
The successful applicant will integrate a team working on an inventory with commentary of the Cartan papers in connection with the Poincaré Archives (CNRS UMR 7117) in Nancy, to which he or she will be attached.
